Dr. Robert Hanna grew up in San Dimas, CA and attended high school at the Webb Schools in Claremont. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to dental school at the University of Southern California, he served as a high school teacher, teaching math and science. While at USC, he was a member of the IV sedation/emergency response team and received awards for excellence in academics, research, and leadership. 

Following dental school, Dr. Hanna completed a full-scope residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, where he served as chief resident in his final year.

Dr. Hanna joins Inland Empire Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after working as an itinerant oral surgeon across Southern California. He speaks Spanish and practices all aspects of the specialty, including wisdom teeth extractions, and dental implants with a special interest in full arch reconstruction, bone grafting, and trauma.

Outside of the office, Dr. Hanna is an avid sports fan. When he is not cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers and San Francisco 49ers, he enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with his wife, Natalie, and their dog, Teddy.
